Trees, Blossoms & French Sounds

This week, our exploration at Fun In French centered around the magical world of trees, flowers, and springtime language.

We began with the story L’Arbre de vie, a poetic tale that walks children through how a tree grows — from seed to blossom to fruit. It opened the door to conversations about nature, transformation, and care.

With our Kindergarten group, we focused on the building blocks of French reading:
syllables, sounds, and the tricky difference between a and à — an important step in developing language awareness and confidence.

Then it was time to create: each child crafted their own blooming flower using egg cartons, air-dry clay, and plenty of imagination — turning recycled materials into something beautiful and unique.

Through story, sound, and creation, we let language take root — one joyful activity at a time.
